Laura Ellis Stoess

Laura has been practicing in Oldham County for twenty years. She represents clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, and adoption actions; probate; real estate; business incorporations; wills and trusts; and general civil litigation. She graduated from Oldham County High School in 1989, obtained her B.A. from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky in 1993, and her Juris Doctorate from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1996. While in law school, she was a member of the Journal of Family Law and served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Law & Education. She has been admitted to practice in the United States Federal Courts in both the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association, and the 12th Judicial Circuit Bar Association for Oldham, Henry, and Trimble Counties. She and her family live in Oldham County and are members of Crestwood United Methodist Church.
